Organized treasures from respected donations!

How We Help

Facebook is a registered trademark of Facebook, Inc.

Have To Have It! helps many community organizations, local non-profits and in-need individuals.   As Benevolent Contributors, we are able to give whatever we can to “whoever we want, whenever we want”.

Friends of Pender County...or as we call them “Pender Pets”….is one of our favorites.  They help find homes for our county’s homeless animals.  We are able to provide all needed blankets, sheets, some toys and snacks as well as a donation jar at our cash register counter.  Thanks to all who drop in change...it adds up!!

Very little goes to the landfill once it reaches Have To Have It!:

We have been truly blessed with donations and are, therefore, able to donate clothing, linens, shoes and some furniture to those in need on a regular basis.  Salvation Army picks up many bags of donations from us weekly.

7/2010– On behalf of a wonderful couple in our local community that could no longer drive their annual donations to Pine Ridge, ND, we donated to an extremely needy Oglala Indian tribe.

8/2010-Due to flooding, customers in need of new furniture, rugs, and clothing were invited to get what they needed, no strings attached.

9/2010-Young students in need can come to us and we assist as we can, with supplies, clothing and furniture.

10/2010-In October, we were able to donate to Topsail High School Band Boosters.  Recent budget cuts are really hitting our schools’ music programs.  They do all they can to survive.  We received the left over items from the Booster’s spring “yard sale” and in turn were able to make a cash donation.  Please support your band boosters!!

10/2010-Have To Have It linked with Hampstead resident Jennifer Gold and her organization, The Global Connection and Exchange (GCE) Program, to provide books to eager, appreciative students in Afghanistan.  Your donations of textbooks and fiction books were carried to schools in Jalalabad, Afghanistan. We received this power point presentation.  www.slideshare.net/Havetohaveit/books-from-hampstead-nc

11/2010-One community member left us with a huge supply of baby food.  We were able to give to those in need for her.  Happy to be of service!

12/2010-Tragic fire left two families without anything.  We were able to  contribute bedding, clothing, furniture etc, to the family that took them in, with no questions asked.  This is why we exist.

12/2010-Your donations were sorted, cleaned (if needed), priced, organized and displayed at Have To Have It! in such a way that many, many people had a much less stressful holiday.  They got the kitchen tools they needed, the gifts to give or the clothing to boost them during the wonderful Christmas season.  THANK YOU!!!

1/2011-We have been blessed with an abundance of socks and blankets.  These items were taken by local volunteer Virginia Conner and distributed as needed.  Thanks Virginia!
